Problem selecting/deleting points in dense cloud
« on: July 08, 2019, 06:09:27 PM »
Hi,

i have a problem with removing shadows in a dense cloud.
See picture 1.
When i try to select the points i'm always selecting the needed points and all the points in the background.
See picture 2 that is rotated a bit ti see what i mean.

Now, as my model is a logboat , i always have something in the background.
For the points in the example i tryed a view form the boat upwards to the "sky" to select the points against "no background points".
This worked, but with that kind of view i cannot see if the point is a shadow or part of the boat.
See picture 3.

What can i do to clean the dense cloud?

Regards
Robert

Hello Robert,

I think you can select the large block of points around your area of interest, then use Tools Menu -> Dense Cloud -> Filter by Selection option to hide everything but selected points, then perform the edits to the displayed points and after you are done, reset the filter to display previously hidden points.
