cudaGetDeviceCount failed: unknown error (30)
« on: July 15, 2019, 03:52:34 PM »
I am using Windows 10 with Radeon VII GPU
When I do Align Photos, I see a strange message:cudaGetDeviceCount failed: unknown error (30)
It is an AMD card, how come it will generate a cuda error? There is no nvidia card in the computer.

I have used nvidia cards on this computer with nvidia drivers installed, but Agisoft still should not pop this error as I have no cards in the computer now.

Hello rexsham,

I can suggest to remove NVIDIA drivers, for example, via Display Driver Uninstaller utility.

However, if the message doesn't affect the processing and also doesn't annoy you much, you can leave it as is.

Hi Alexey,
I will remove the nvidia driver later and try again, now when I try to run Generate Dense Cloud, I see this error:
I do not know if it will affect the results or not. I let it continue and time to finish is 2 hours, let's see~

Hello rexsham,

The new warning (CL_DEVICE_GLOBAL_FREE_MEMORY_AMD) means that AMD driver has returned the amount of free VRAM larger than the total accessible memory, however, the processing should continue properly, but leaving some free amount just for case.
