Agisoft Build Mesh Loses Features from Dense Point Cloud
« on: August 13, 2019, 08:33:51 PM »
I have been encountering this issue where the Mesh built loses the tails and wings of the airplanes I am trying to reconstruct. However, when I look at the Dense Point Cloud, the objects look perfectly fine. I tried rebuilding multiple times but the result is always the same. I have attached pictures of the result. Please help me figure out how to resolve this issue. Thank you!

Hello po,

For me it looks like the dense cloud is very noisy and some surface parts are captured from one side only - the noise is filtered during the mesh generation then.

I can suggest to try depth maps based mesh generation, however, more likely that the noise of the cloud is related to some alignment issues and lack of features on the object's surface.
Best regards,

Generating mesh using depth map solved the problem! Thank you!
