Set number of threads metashape uses on remote server
« on: August 29, 2019, 12:29:52 AM »
Hello,

I am running metashape on a remote server and it appears that the default number of threads requested for metashape to be ran on is strangely high (225). Our Machine has 80 available threads but there are other users. Its causing an abnormally high load average on the system, we'd like to find a way to limit the number of threads its requesting so that it doesn't idle as much while its trying to run. I have been searching but cannot find a way to set the number of threads for running metashape on a remote server.

Does anyone have any insight or ideas on what to do.

Thanks

Hello coralRichard,

I think you should do it using OS tools for the Metashape-related process, like Set Affinity on Windows.
