Instalation error
« on: May 24, 2011, 05:46:13 PM »
Hi guys.

I need some help. I just update my computer with a lot RAM (14G), lot space -2 Terabytes HD, etc etc. But when I will install Photoscan latest version give me this message:

"The advertised application will not be installed because
it might be unsafe. Contact your administrator to change
the installation user interface option of the package to
basic."

I googled for a help but every single one give me different solution. One said to format my pc...
I use Win 7 64 bit.

I need this working because:
- I have some heavy projects here.
- I bought the Professional Edition, so I want the thing working properly.

Thanks in advance.

No problem, Contact your administrator.  Or maybe it's just a matter of turning off your Antivirus.

Hi fpbv,

i never had that problem on windows 7 64 bit, but you could try to run the installation as administator.
So right-click the program, and then click "Run As Administrator".

I did all this you told me, nothing worked. Previously I had the trial version instaled, I think 754 or something like that.
I unninstaled it and tried the newest one, then gave me that error.

I really don?t know what to do...

Are you running as a client or are you the admin?

A solution could be to add the install file to the ignore list on you antivirus.
