Footprints script
« on: October 18, 2019, 07:28:54 PM »
Hi

Have a question about the script I have for creating footprints.  It is funny thing that when I ran it and it would not show up on my screen BUT when I export it to shapefile to add in ArcGIS Pro it is showing up. I have had no problems running it in the past when I installed my Metashape.  Do you have any answer to why ?

I wonder why ?

My workflow to align the photos here the screenshot:

Never mind.

Just had to reset the transform in order to have the footprints show up...

it is a nonsense to set higher the tie points limit than the key points limit

@ JMR

Ok

I was experiment because I had some areas that were smeared..

What is the reason for not to set higher tie points than the keypoints ?

Hello PROBERT1968,

Key point limit defines the max number of feature points to be detected on the image, whereas the tie point limit defines the max number of tie points projections that would be left on every image during the image matching process. Generally, it is not possible to get bigger number of tie point projection on the image than the detected feature points.

As for the original problem with the footprints, do you see the corresponding shaped in 3D (model view) or 2d (ortho view), providing that Show Shapes button is pressed for both cases?

Ok.

Yes I do see differently footprints before and after ...

It just helps me to find the feature in each footprint and fix and then when I add or remove the markers I re-do the work process and I can see how change the footprints.
