Masking across multiple photos
« on: December 07, 2019, 01:06:33 AM »
Hello!  I'm new to Metashape and have so many questions, I hope the forum can help.

I'm working on an orthomosaic image and 3-d model of a shoreline.  I need to apply a mask to the water because there are a fair amount of waves and other confusing features.  Most of the photos align without the mask but the 3-d algorithms are all wonky.  I'm working with a set of over 2500 photos because of course I couldn't start small.   ;)

I manually created masks on a few images that span most of the length of water.  I have about 30 png mask files that do exclude the majority of the water tie points.  However, I need to be able to overlay these masks on the overlapping photos that don't have associated png files to refine the masked area.  I don't know how to create/georeference the masks so that they will show up on other photos in the appropriate area.

None of the suggestions that I've found in the forum or other sites work.  Does anyone have suggestions that I can try?

Thanks!
