not enough reference points
« on: December 20, 2019, 08:20:25 PM »
I wanted to force the scale on an object by assigning some known distances so I added markers and assigned some distances between the points. I then get an error that says " not enough reference data". I know all the points and scale bars have to be checked before hitting the update icon. I had suspected that I didn't have enough control points with assigned scales bars so I added a ton more to see if I could force it. I still get the same error. Shouldn't 20 pairs of known distances be enough?
I should add that I am working off an obj project only. Not sure if that makes a difference. A coworker had shared the obj file with me so I don't have the entire project with original images. I would think it wouldn't matter but just incase it does, thought I would mention it.
Thanks,
Maryann

Hello Maryann,

If you have less than three checked on markers with the input source coordinates in the Reference pane, then you need to uncheck them all and leave only scale bars checked on, then press Update button.
