Texture De-Ligther question for the aerial photographs ?
« on: November 21, 2019, 06:58:39 PM »
Hi

I am aware that Agisoft that has their Texture De-Lighter program.  The only question I have is ....will this work for aerial imagery before I bring them into Metashape or is it for Face or Body scanning ?

I am just wondering about this.

Hello PROBERT1968,

De-Lighter doesn't work with the source images. It tries to compensate the lighting variation, eliminate the shadows from the textured model.

So if you have a textured polygonal model from the aerial scanning project, you can try to remove the shadows from the texture using De-Lighter.

Thank you.

On my original post , I should have said a bit more clearly ...

"Face or Body scanning ?"  I should have said this is this for Face or Body scanning only ?

Hello PROBERT1968,

The tool is not specific to the type of the project. It deals with the textured model, it could be a model of the building, statue, tree trunk, small objects.
