Dear Forum,
I had a persistent issue with aligning large sets of cameras in Agisoft Metashape 1.5.5.
So several hours in the Align Photos step, during Matching Points procedure, the progress stagnates for way over 24 hours after the estimated processing time has past.
This occurs processing singular Chunks with 1700 cameras and more as well as during the alignment of several smaller Chunks, tested on seven Chunks with 400 cameras each (the alignment within the chunks here works fine).
To start with, I would like to know whether this is simply a hardware limitation and if my planned project of processing 1500 - 2500 cameras of a high complexity surface at medium/high quality is at all possible. On the other hand, if there are tweaks or tips to improve output even on a weaker machine?
