Report values
« on: July 03, 2013, 08:38:10 AM »
In the report there is a number that describes number of points / square meter.

Is this based on the dense point cloud?

That is actually a very good question.  I've never really paid that much attention but I have just run some basic calcs on my reports and nothing seems to add up?

Anyone got any ideas?

Hello Peter,

Yes, the number of points per square meter in the report refers to the average value for dense point cloud.

So after aligning photos on high and then to make report i build geometry on pointcloud i get dense values.

I remeber reading somewhere that align photos stage gives you sparse cloud

Hello Peter,

When geometry is reconstructed using Point Cloud mode no depth maps are reconstructed, so the mentioned number in report file will have very approximate value based on sparse point could.
