Large Swath 2 Camera System processing in Metashape
« on: March 11, 2020, 04:57:36 AM »
All,

We are looking to put together a large swath aerial camera system for a corridor mapping project with almost identical specifications to this one  https://geo-matching.com/content/phase-one-aerial-cameras-and-large-swath

Cameras will be offset from Nadir at roughly +- 14 degrees and each image footprint will overlap by 15%. My question is will we be able to process this is Metashape and has anybody had experience with this?

I realise that there are commercial systems out there similar to this but form what I can gather in these systems custom software stitches the two images together to form one image form a virtual camera before processing. Ideally, we would like to skip this step and simply be able to process entirely in Metashape. Either by bringing in each individual camera or by processing in a multicamera rig.

I assume this will be possible and any responses or feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers
