Export interior and exterior orientation
« on: March 18, 2020, 01:41:50 PM »
Hi,

I have a dataset of photographs that I have aligned and bundle adjusted in Metashape. I need to import the bundle adjusted photographs ( I need both the interior and exterior orientation data for each photo) in ERDAS and I was wondering:
A) which was the more efficient way/if there is one?
B) which file format I should use?

So far I have seen I can do it in two ways:
- from the reference tab: Export-export cameras-CSV;
- or from: File-export-Export cameras
the latter give me several options ( from Agisoft XML to Autodesk FBX). Which format would be better and what's the difference between the two ways of exporting the cameras?

Thank you very much for your help in advance.
All best,
Samantha

Hello Samantha,

Which formats for interior/exterior orientation parameters are supported in the post-processing application which you are using?

Hi Alexey,

Thanks so much for your reply. I had a look and apparently I can import the info as an ASCII .dat, specifying 8 columns ( ID,  Name, X, Y, Z and Kappa, Phi and Omega).

Best regards,
Samantha
