Bad render in Blender, not like agisoft...
« on: May 10, 2020, 01:50:39 PM »
Hello,

I got a problem exporting my obj in blender and not getting the same quality as it is in agisoft. Here are my exporting options :

vertex colors
vertex normals
export texture
precision : 6 (but same issue if higher)
use udim texture layout : yes/no, the same..

In Blender it look like the shaded view in agisoft, not the textured view and I don't know why. Here is how it looks like : https://streamable.com/0bly0g

Thank you

Hello Dyst,

Which mesh export format you are using?

I can suggest to re-export the model, for example, in OBJ format but using the short filename (less than 8 symbols and without any non-ASCII symbols and spaces) and without UDIM option. Please report if it solves the problem.
Best regards,

Thank you for your answer
I export it to blender in obj. I tried again with udim desactivated and I got exactly the same issue.

You can see at left the result in Blender, not as smooth as it is in agisoft. I m using a studio hdri.

Hi Dyst,
could it be that the main difference between the two is that Agisoft uses a shadeless approach for displaying textured meshes while in Blender you see more of the surfaces geometry due to lighting?

AFAICS there's literally no issue with the Blender render results given the generated mesh & texture on display.

Arie, thanks for your advice, I tried to get shadeless render in blender but I still don't get the result I expect.
blender : https://ibb.co/9Npt14V
agisoft : https://ibb.co/0nt4Yjp

Mak11, the big issue was solved when I replaced the texture in uv editting, as you can see in the video it was different than it is now.

I'm just trying to get the best result possible even if now it's far better than it was, thanks to you all.

I guess it is the agisoft render that is just so good it is difficult to get the same elsewhere. It looks softer in agisoft.
