Rolling Shutter bug?
« on: May 27, 2020, 08:32:01 PM »
While having the Rolling Shutter compensation flag on, the following error message appears if we generate the DEM both from the depth maps or the Dense Cloud.

"clSetKernelArg imageRectifyRollingShutter_uchar#11 (16 bytes) failed: CL_INVALID_ARG_SIZE"

Latest 1.6.2 version. MacOSX Catalina.

No problems in version 1.5.x generating the DEM from the dense cloud.

Cheers

PS: This bug seems to be gone in version 1.6.3 (latest beta). Was it corrected?

Hello RHenriques,

Please provide the complete log related to the failed operation and specify the GPU models that you are using for the processing.

Also please specify if there are no GPU-related issues when the depth maps run is based on the alignment without rolling shutter compensation?

Hi Alexey

It's happening in any mac that I'm using (tested 3 with different setups).
Without the rolling shutter flag, no problem while further processing. However, since I'm using a rolling shutter camera, the DEM is not so pretty.

As I told, the problem disappeared in beta 1.6.3.

See attached log (the log has the hardware used in this case).

Cheers

Great Alexey

However it may not be needed because if you plan to release version 1.6.3 soon, the bug is already fixed. Probably it's only a question of code comparing between 1.6.2 and 1.6.3. It seems to be related with a minor bug in 1.6.2's code.
Best regards

Hello RHenriques,

Yes, it seems to be an issue with 1.6.2 version only, which has been already fixed in the 1.6.3 pre-release.
