This is the first time I'm working with a local coordinate system in MS. Typically, when you export markers, you are presented with a dialog confirming the CRS for the markers. When the Markers are set to "local" you do not get this dialog, nor does it seem the markers export contain that meta information.
For example. Working with this project that is set to "local", when I import a mesh into QGIS, so long as I have things set properly in QGIS, it recognizes and applies the "local" system. Same thing goes for when importing a geo.tif The geo.tif and mesh layers are properly oriented in QGIS. However, when importing markers from the same project, QGIS does not recognize where to place the markers.
It appears that MS is not exporting the "local" meta needed for QGIS, (and I suspect other apps) to properly place the markers in relation to the other MS layers from the same project. Nor does MS supply the pop-up dialog for confirmation as it typically does.
Thanks,
Dave
