error creating mesh
« on: June 11, 2020, 12:18:05 AM »
Hi all,

Im getting an memory-related error (attached) when trying to create a mesh (based on depth maps) from 8k+ images (@20MP).

Is there a workaround beyond splitting the cameras into many chunks?

Processor   Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz, 3000 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM)   32.0 GB
Name   NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER

cheers,

Javier

Hello Javier,

The problem is likely related to the GPU drivers.

I suggest to install the latest NVIDIA drivers from their web-site, reboot the computer and check, if the issue is resolved. If not, please provide the complete processing log from the Console pane related to the failed operation.

Hello Javier,

I don't see error in the new log. However, there seem to be some problem with the task configuration. Build Mesh task is using Height Filed method based on the dense cloud, whereas in your original post you where speaking about Arbitrary method and depth maps source.

Can you please modify the task properties (also disable re-use depth maps option) and check if it can be properly completed.
