Lens-Correction before importing Photos?
« on: May 07, 2013, 11:31:34 AM »
Hello, I just want to start my first Scan. I use a Canon 5D and Export my Photos from Lightroom. Lightroom can undistort the Photos by using a special Preset for the Canon 5D Lense.
Is it a good Idea to make the correct lensecorrection before I import to Photoscan? Or shall I import the uncorrected Photos?
Thank you very much.

I would not advise using any lens correction before processing in Photoscan. Photoscan calibrates the camera parameters really well, so you can just use the photos as they come from your camera.

Ok. Thank you for the Advise. So I will take the Images as they come from the Camera. Cheers, Holger
