Orientation and Scale
« on: July 09, 2020, 03:45:51 AM »
Hello All, I am wondering why my XY orientations come out differently each time i align my pictures. I am using 40 pics, then a subset of 25, then a subset of 16. each time the bounding box bottom is different. It makes it difficult to compare the outcomes of all 3 when this happens. also, my scale bar is different each time as well. I am not changing any of the settings at all in between runs. thoughts?

Hello KarenG,

you can only expect this when coordinates and orientation of your cameras is known.

Best regards

If you have the 3 sets in separate chunks in the same project, then you can quickly align them to the same scale and alignment if you do 'align chunks' using the 'camera based' method.

This assumes that your cameras are well distributed in each of the 3 sets, i.e. not just in a straight line.
