Selection Toolset -> Add Polygon Tool
« on: July 09, 2020, 11:14:28 PM »
New user perspective here.

When manually classifying objects in the Dense point cloud, it would be more efficient in some cases to be able to use the polygon tool to make a selection.  The free-form select tool is good for some things and probably is great with the use of a stylus, but for mouse use, it is a little inaccurate in many cases requiring multiple selections to select some objects when trying to keep the selection "tight".

Thank you for your consideration.

Lasso tool is fast but is totally useless and irritating for precise selection. Please Agisoft, listen to your users, add a proper polygon selection tool and let it behave as lasso when combined with some key.

Firstly, the polygon selection tool is a must.

Secondly, the freeform tool is somewhat useless.  The idea is okay but the execution is not.  What would work is to replace it with a selection brush tool that had a size parameter option and also an erase option.  Exactly like a photo masking tool which is basically what the operation is doing.
