Workflow - New Instance option
« on: July 09, 2020, 11:21:20 PM »
New user perspective.

When creating a new instance of a file type, the program will over-write the current default of that type if it exists.  To avoid the instance being over-written, you must first select the instance and then toggle off the default parameter.

Would it not make more sense to let the user choose by way of a preference what will happen when a new instance is generated and one (or more) already exist?

For example, I would like:
1. Over write current default
2. Generate new instance
3. Ask each time.

Thank you for your consideration!

Yes, same problem.  And I also agree about having a more definitive "active" element notification than just regular vs. italics.  I understand a "flat" GUI is all the rage right now.  But couldn't the active element , whether in a list or toolbar icon,  be colored and the rest remain flat?

If this is offensive to those that must have everything flat, please consider making it a user preference.

Thank you.
