Aerial data processing (without GCPs) - Improving Accuracy
« on: August 21, 2020, 05:08:58 PM »
Advice please for improving aerial data processing accuracy using several sets of two features/markers where the linear distance between has been accurately measured on site. This would be done when GCP's/Checkpoints can't be used.

Would this information be added as pairs of 'Markers' and 'Scale Bars' created after aligning images and before processing the sparse point cloud? Please advise.

Past processing has resulted in highly accurate point cloud measurements being taken off without the use of known site measurements using a DJI Phantom 4 Pro (V1.0). I wondered if the addition of this known data would help improve the accuracy of the processing?
