Camera Alignment
« on: September 02, 2020, 05:50:32 PM »
Hey Guys,

I have a question regarding the camera alignment. Maybe you can help me out.
So I used agisoft two years ago and did some test and they worked quite well. So know I wanted to start scanning objects like fruits.

My first try was to use an apple.
I have a small lightbox and a Canon eos7d with a standard camera kid (18-135mm).
I took some pictures inside the box and masked the apple out in Agisoft.

For some reason the alignment isn't working right.
Is it because i turned the apple around and took another row of shots. But then I dont understand the use of the masks.

Tried different setting for keypoints and tie points.

I attached a Wetransfer link to see some screenshots:

Thanks for any help.

Hi Anton,
I took a look at the images and your approach with masks etc. is solid. Which settings did you use for aligning the cameras?
In general, you should try optimizing the coverage of the subject i.e. using the entire image frame for capturing the subject.
Cheers.
