Line-Scan Cameras
« on: October 14, 2020, 11:04:34 PM »
Hello Alexey,

Can Agisoft Metashape work well with images from a line-scan (linear) camera?
Do we need to provide the IMU/GPS data for images that are captured from a line-scan (linear) camera or the software can align the images without initial values?

P.S. Currently I don't have those kinds of images, I want to know if I buy a line-scan camera, I'm able to process the images using Agisoft or not.

Thanks for your time and consideration.
Best Regards,
Fatemeh

Hello Fatemah,

Do you mean the push-broom scanner or common digital cameras with the rolling shutter?

Hi Alexey,

Thanks for your message.

I mean Machine Vision line scan cameras like this: https://www.baslerweb.com/en/products/cameras/line-scan-cameras/racer/ral12288-66km/

They have a global shutter but scan an image line by line (similar to push broom scanners).
