Align laser scan point cloud to dense cloud from images

Maybe a real newbie question     I have a nice dense cloud made from images that is in the right coordinate system. No I also have a laser scan of the same area but the laser scan doesn't have the right coordinates. Can I align the laser scan to the model made from images?

-export both point cloud from metashape
-import both pointclouds in the freeware cloudcompare
-align the scan point cloud to the image point cloud
-export laser point cloud from cloudcompare
-import back to metashape
