Sun sensor compensation on Micasense ms cameras
« on: July 17, 2023, 12:09:23 PM »
We are dealing with issues about sun sensor compensation on Micasense multispectral cameras. Even with gentle sun conditions fluctuation is causing overburn or very dark spots (screenshots). We thought that sunshine camera calibration suppose to eliminate (at least a bit) those issues. Sometimes, when sun conditions are very stable, not using sensor calibration looks like a better idea, however in most cases results are terrible both ways. For usage in vegetation indices it is okay - shifts in bands usually cancel out, however, it is pretty much unusable for any spectral analysis. Does somebody know any workaround for that?
