Multispectral reconstruction
« on: December 04, 2020, 06:55:01 PM »
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if it is possible to build a 3D model just from R+G+NIR images. Or is it mandatory to have a R+G+B composite?
Thank you very much,
Stefano

Hello Stefano,

You can generate the polygonal mesh surface using even single band data input, so it is not required to have RGB on input.

Are you planning to use three band images or a multi-camera system approach?

Hi Alexey,
thank you very much for your reply. The issue is that I need to build a 3D model and an orthophoto on which I can calculate the NDVI and my drone does not support 2 cameras. So I thought I could reach my aims with a single camera with a R+G+NIR sensor and you confirmed that, thankfully.
