8K import workflow

Good day all, I am looking for advice on the best workflow for importing 8K video into metashape. I am thinking its likely going to be extracting the frames thru photoshop and then import? Anyone have experience with qoocam 8k?

Hello rimmex,

You can use external tool to extract the frames from the video sequence or use built-in Import Video command from the File Menu of Metashape window that will perform the similar operation of frame extraction.

Metashape can import an 8k video format or does it need to scaled down?

Hello rimmex,

It should work with any resolution, providing that corresponding codecs are installed in system. You can try with the short test 8K video file, if there are any problems with that provide the Console pane output here or send the sample video file to support@agisoft.com.
