generate dense cloud from laser scan

Hi, I have a problem with generating dense point cloud from laser data. I am experiencing crash everytime. Does anyone have the same problem? Thanks. Tried with version 1.7 and 1.7.1.

Hello DanoV,

Can you please describe your workflow and provide the processing log related to the failed operation? (enable Write Log to File option in the General Preferences tab, re-start Metashape and try to reproduce the problem).

You may need to reset the region or adjust it manually to fit the area of interest. Let me know, if it solves the problem.

Thank you for quick reply. My workflow is following: adding laser scan tif images generated inside metashape. Align them, reset region, and generate dense point cloud with high setting and aggressive filtering option.
Reseting or adjusting the region did not help. I am attaching the log file.
Tried with multiple dataset. Results are the same.
Also tried with and without frame images.
Generating mesh using depth maps works correctly.

Try to save the project before generating the dense point cloud. Without this step, I always had a crash.

 Saving project before dense cloud generation fixed the problem. At least in my current project. Thanks Dieter for the advice.

Thank you also for pointing out to the possible reason of the crashes. We'll fix that in the next version update, so it shouldn't crash in the unsaved projects.
