Creating the same local coordinate system for multiple projects
« on: February 23, 2021, 05:59:39 PM »
Hi,

I have multiple time points of the same scene, and want to export DEMs and orthophotos of each timepoint with the same local coordinate system so they can be aligned and analyzed in a separate program. Is there a way to do this? Currently they are in different projects, do they need to be in the same project but separate chunks? They are underwater so georeferencing is difficult. Thank you!

Ian

Hello Ian,

In general case you need to have control points (or coordinates of the camera locations) in different projects/chunks measured in the same coordinate space.

Do these separate projects have any overlap?

Hi Alexey,

Thank you for the prompt response! They are generally the same area, a 10x10m plot of reef that I have surveyed twice. the perimeter might have more or less overlap, but the parts that I care about within the plot are the exact same location just a few months apart.
