alignment - pair preselection based on file name sequence
« on: May 03, 2013, 05:06:29 PM »
Since photos of an object are typically taken in order and the sequence is reflected in the file name it makes since to start matching based on the order of the file names. Maybe this is the internal default scheme for PhotoScan.

Hello bisenberger,

Thank you for the suggestion, but I assume it will work only for linear image sequence, since there would not be any information about overlap between images from the middle of the set and the beginning, for example. We recommend Generic preselection for big imagesets without telemetry data.

However, in Pro edition you can simulate such behavior loading fake telemetry file to Ground Control pane, e.g. incremental values for each camera (1, 2, 3...).
