Profiles
« on: April 07, 2021, 05:23:51 PM »
Hello,

I have a 3d model on which I would like to make sections and profiles. Is there a dedicated tool for this? or a methodology in metashape to do this? Or what other software can I export my model to to do this?

I don't want to have profiles in Dem, I kwon this tool, But in the model.

Thank you very much
Sylvain

by sectioning model I guess you mean the mesh, dont you? I normally use Polyworks but cloud compare can work for that as well.

Yes, I mean the mesh.
And yes it's what I want to do in your link to CloudCompare.
There is no way to do this in metashape ?

I will try in CloudCompare !

Thank you !

If you want to build an orthomosaic of a building facade use planar projection  in Build Orthomosaic.

From the manual:
"useful for orthomosaic generation in projects concerning facades or other vertical surfaces"
