Topographic Processing
« on: October 02, 2022, 03:20:57 PM »
Good Day, can anyone help me.
The readings of another surveyor using RTK device on an area vs my readings of the contour from my Phantom 4 RTK is heavily different on the flat areas.
The coastline is the same at 2 meters, but on the other flat areas the rtk device is also 2 meters but on the p4r process is at 10 meters. I classified ground points at
Max angle: 45 deg
Max distance: 1
Cell size: 50
Erosion radius: 0.5
The area that is surveyed has both flat and mountain forests.
Am i doing something wrong with the classification or the other surveyor is wrong. Thank you for your feedbacks.

Hi Engrel,

I would compare spot heights only in open areas (non forested) as the classification in scrub forest can lead to quite some error....

Is your drone survey only referenced from the camera RTK positions?

Hello Engr.eL,

You can check the following article related to the ground points classification feature that includes some recommendations for typical project types:
