Importing DEM
« on: June 20, 2021, 07:34:01 PM »
Hi Guys,

If I export a DEM (tiff), I can then import that DEM back into the same project.  For example, to utilize the workaround to clip the DEM to a polygon boundary.

However, if I try to import that same DEM into a new project, it fails with the error "missing frame".

Any idea what the problem is here?

Thanks!
Dave

Hello Dave,

Project should be saved in PSX format to allow orthomosaic, DEM or tiled model import.

Hi Alexey,

Problem solved.

Could I suggest an that an error dialog pops up when one tries to import a file that states that "the project needs to be saved before import is possible", or something.  Letting the user select import, define reference system, and then fail with a message that really doesn't mean anything to the user seems problematic.

Thank you for the support!
