is that still the case or was that from older versions of PS?
i'm assuming that when FE was officially supported it was OK to use them?
i've been using FE almost exclusively for my last few scans and am pretty happy with the results but confirmation is always good

Hello JJ,
For fisheye lens it is strongly suggested to switch the camera type for the related camera calibration groups in Tools Menu -> Camera Calibration dialog to Fisheye prior to the camera alignment procedure.

thanks Alexey.
that's what i've been doing and i'm happy with the results, but i always wonder because the manual states to avoid those lenses.
is there any disadvantage to using FE lenses this way vs regular lenses?
