Alignment Error - Tie & Key Point limit = 0, Version 1.7.3
« on: June 24, 2021, 01:39:16 AM »
Hello,

I recently updated Metashape to Version 1.7.3 from 1.6.3. Previously when running the "Align Photos" on Version 1.6.3 I would set both Key point and Tie point limits to 0 and successfully align the imported photos. Running the same model on Version 1.7.3, with all settings the same the model does not align and states "Cameras Can't Align". The same photos will successfully align when I set the Key and Tie point limits to values other than 0 (i.e. 100 000).

Has anyone else encountered this issue when updated to 1.7.3? Does setting the limit to 0 no longer allow for limitless detection?

Thanks for any help,

Nick.

Hello Nick,

Unfortunately it is a known issue that will be fixed in the next version update.

As a workaround, if for any reason you would like to avoid key point number being limited, you can set the value to 100 000 000, for example.
