Importing cameras does not correct alignment
« on: June 27, 2013, 08:50:05 AM »
I have 60 stationary cameras positioned in a circle around an object. After processing the images for one object the cameras aligned perfectly. However when processing another object with the cameras in the same position they did not align properly. I attempted to correct this by importing the correct camera alignment but the camera positions did not change. Any thoughts as to why importing cameras did not fix the alignment?

Which file type did you use for camera export/import? Photoscan XML works for me. Also, make sure you are using the correct image file names to match the image file names in the correct camera XML file.

Hello alexxhenry,

When using Import Cameras option camera labels in .xml file should correspond to the labels used in the chunk.

That was exactly the issue.

We use unique batch numbers to separate each set of images we capture. As soon as we changed the camera names to match the new chunk the cameras aligned perfectly.

Thanks for your help!
