realationship between point cloud and geomertry
« on: July 28, 2013, 09:15:52 AM »
Hello all,

What's the realationship between point cloud and geomertry in Agisoft? Why the geomertry is built in some places without point cloud?

Thank you very much.

Hello Morgan Lily,

Sparse point cloud represents the valid matches between the photos - they are used to estimate camera positions and depth of scene.
When you run Build Geometry in any quality (except Point Cloud geometry type) the mesh is generated based on depth maps that are calculated based on camera positions.
