1.7.3 - Sample Points Bug

Hey,

Thanks for adding the option to manually input the point count!

I'm attaching two screenshots of the popup, if i enter point spacing value then everything is fine. If i do the same number in the estimated points part the spacing turns to inf.

Sidenote: it would be nice to autoformat the estimated points part as it gets pretty tricky in billions

it's been nearly 4 months since the last update (Version 1.7.3 build 12473 (25 May 2021)) & 1.74 has yet to be released. Can we expect 1.8 this year (or Q1 2021) ?

1.7.4 will be released this weekend (or on Monday).

1.8.0 pre-release could be expected in Autumn, new major version is usually presented on Intergeo event as pre-release, and major release is usually planned on December 31st.

Thanks for the info.
My only hope is that the depth maps based mesh generation is overhauled because the same issue which has been plaguing it for years has yet to be fixed.
Interpolation Enabled/Auto/disabled doesn't matter. The result are always the same; unacceptable amounts of garbage geometry constantly being generated inside (and some times outside) meshes which takes hours to fix in Zbrush/3Dcoat.

What does the point cloud look like?
There I would delete points with "confident" 0-1 or 0-2.

The point cloud doesn't matter if you're doing depth map based reconstruction. As the general results are much better than point cloud based meshes most of the time.
