Have a question about the Tie points matching on a black and white photo

I do have a question for you . 

Would black color on the black and white pick up  a few tie points because it cannot determine to find it is matching features on that photo ?

It was just on my mind and wonder about that

Would I need to make it a brighter make a difference ?
