Photo Alignment
« on: July 05, 2013, 01:10:07 AM »
Hello,

I'm trying to align a group of photos to get an orthophoto, but only a small amount are aligned, the rest I have just a point cloud.  :'(

Why this problem? And how I can solve it?

Hint: I have 385 photos taken with Gatewing X100, at a height of 200 m, the area is composed of forests taken and cleared areas.

I appreciate any help.

Best Regards

Andy hi,
which forest is that? Pine, spruce or broad leaf trees?
Could you post a sample image (the most typical) of non aligned?
George
P.S. 200 m? Where is that? EU?

Hello

thanks for you aswering

I don't know what kind of forest is exactly, but it's in Panama.
I tried whith different methods (low and High accuracy,  Generic and point cloud), but the results is the same.

Best Regards

P.S: excuse any errors, I'm learning the language.

which means that the forest is heavily dense ... right?
but what is wrong with the resolution? what sensor did you use?

Did you select 'ground control' as the method for aligning?

hello

Good day.
Thanks for your answers

I just want to generate orthophotos and followed step by step manual, but the result is incomplete.

George: I don't know which sensor you mean?

airmap3d: I used the method of 'ground control'

Best regards.

That's a mystery to me then.  I know that the Gatewing is definitely compatible with Photoscan so can't see why it hasn't worked for you?

Hopefully someone else has some better answers for you?

Good luck!
