Hello dear everyone,
I am working on my master thesis project regarding snow mapping using UAV.
I am experimenting on some image pre-processing, after I process snow images i get like 30-40 % more matched points. I want to figure out if the quantity of points can influence the model error after georeferencing with DGPS points. I am getting a little lower error (like 1mm difference) is this possible or is maybe because when manual selecting gcps they where selected better?
Also, how does Photoscan calculates the error? I mean i know it calculates the difference between the GPS point and the estimated point by the model, but how does he define the estimated point? does it make an average of a set of points in the cloud?
I would really appreciate your help! Thanks in advance!
Best regards
Emiliano
