Metashape 1.7.4 seems to not using GPU
« on: November 02, 2021, 12:57:22 PM »
Hi there,
Recently I noticed that processing take much longer than it used to be. I'm using Metashape1.7.4 and it looks like my dedicated GPU is not used at all.
See attached screenshot from depth maps generation, it all based in CPU. I checked my NVIDIA settings and all seems to be ok on that side but maybe I'm missing something?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Magda

Hello Magda,

To monitor the GPU activity via Windows 10 Task Manager, switch one of the graphs on GPU page to "Cuda" option to check the GPU load.
Alternatively you can use dedicated utilities, such as GPU-Z or NIVIDA-SMI.

Also check that in the processing log there are no errors related to GPU-processing and fallbacks to CPU.
