Dense cloud with Sky noise and Orthophoto issues
« on: December 30, 2021, 10:06:42 PM »
Check this video from viewport... There is a lot of noise in dense cloud
Hot to solve?
Never had any problems in similar previous jobs!
Thank you and happy new year!

Try to filter the dense cloud "by confidence" and choose all points from 0 to 3. It should remove most of those "Sky" artifacts. Select and eliminate those points while filtering and then reset the filter.

Great and lucky to solve the problem with 0-1 interval  :)
In harsher cases, you can use slightly higher values. Usually I do not go over 4 or 5 to avoid losing details.
This is a very useful feature!!

How tofix this orthomosaic issue? It's a iron artistic balcony but texture it's took from many photo so the result it's too "mosaicized"
and finally, any advice on which features switch on for orthomosaic computation?

That's very fine geometry detail in the balcony. I can imagine that geometry hasn't been reconstructed 100% in your DEM/Mesh? Because then it wouldn't be a texturing problem, as Metashape doesn't have the correct geometry to map onto.

Fixes: can't think of really simple one.
You could create a plane for the front part of the balcony in a 3d app, then orthomoasaic just that geometry in agisoft and then alpha mask that new orthomosaic of just the plane.
However, the wall behind the balcony will still have artifacts. This would require another plane for the wall part with alpha masked balcony images...

What I've done in such cases is to hand model the detailed structures based on the Metashape mesh in a 3d app, import that into Agisoft again and then create the Orthomosaic.
But that's certainly not a "hotfix".

Try to calculate this area using a tiled model. The results for such fragile elements are usually better than those from the orthophoto. Then take a high-resolution screenshot of the railing from the tiled model and hang it in front of the facade using Photoshop. You may have to delete the "empty" areas within the railing with a mask so that the wall behind it is visible.

There are several approaches that you have to try out a bit.

i've solved in photoshop...thank you
now i have 2 new issue with orthophoto background and ortho generation
1: why that "artistic" background around the building? i've tested all orthogeneration option but no one can solve it.
2. why in ortho i see that wall but i've deleted it from dense cloud?back wall and door are hidden!
