Please forgive me, I know this is another help with hardware but Photoscan keeps getting optimized for different hardware.
That being said, I would like to supplement my workstation with a mobile workstation to perform light (<150 x 20MP images) processing while on site. To be used for photogrammetric processing aerial surveys.
Option 1
Alienware 15R3
i7-7820 HK
32 GB DDR4 RAM
GTX 1070 GPU
Option 2
Alienware 17R4
i7-7700HQ
32 GB DDR4 RAM
GTX 1070 GPU
Option 3
Dell Precision 7510
Xeon E3-1545 M V5
64 GB DDR4 RAM
Quadro M2000M GPU
Option 4
Eurocom F5
i7-6700K (Skylake desktop CPU)
64 GB DDR4 RAM
GTX 1070 GPU
All options have ram maxed out at capacity, would equip Samsung 960/951 m.2 SSD.
The AW 17R4 is huge, prefer to stay in the 15.6" form factor, but has better cooling and better panel.
The Precision makes more sense for purely a workstation perspective however from what I understand the Pascal cards outperform the previous generation Quadro cards significantly. I'd like to know if there's any advantage to the Xeon mobile chip as it'd be bearing the processing load considerably.
I'm trying to not spend money where I won't necessarily see a proportional return.
A huge thanks in advance to all who lend their opinion.
