View inside closed object (eg a room) from a distance
« on: January 17, 2022, 06:09:00 PM »
Hello!

I'm trying to scan a room using metashape . The first results look very promising:

https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/roomtest-bb3c9fbdc72a42c8b7d803e00c050f6f

This scan comprises only part of the room: the floor and 2 walls. So one can easily
zoom out to get an overview. However, if the scan would include all the walls, one would
at a certain moment... move through the walls when zooming out. Is there some way to
create view of an intersection of the object ie, leaving out on of the walls or sides, to
get a zoomed out view from a distance?

kind regards

Try to use single sided material in sketchfab, or enable backface culling option in other 3D software where you are watching your model (e.g. Blender).

Thnx! the 'single sided' in sketchfab worked. Good tips...
