Ripples appearing on built mesh
« on: January 22, 2022, 04:48:29 AM »
Hey everyone,

I've been having some issues with 'ripples' appearing my model after building the Mesh. Making it appear almost 3D printed on one axis. This is the second object this has happend with, however the I wont have access to the other until until next week.

My dense point cloud i'm very happy with, and as a sanity check i ran it through RC and didn't get any ripples so I'm not sure what setting is causing this effect?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

edit: If I rotate the region their orientation changes, thus indicating its something in the Build Mesh process.

This is a byproduct of the latest version of the meshing algorithm.
It gives a cleaner topology but does look like that unless you crank up the poly count or reconstruct at a higher setting.
