what interpolation is used in PhotoScan

Hi all,

can anyone tell me what kind of interpolation is used when the DEM is constructed from the dense point cloud?

is this just a nearest neighbor approach or some kind of implementation of a 'real' interpolation technique, such as natural neighbor, IDW or something like that.

I can't find this information in the user's manual.
