Use of vector coded targets
« on: January 31, 2022, 05:47:17 PM »
Dear development team,

I would like it if you could add the functionality of vector-coded targets to Agisoft Metashape. Sometimes it is necessary to signalize corners, which isn't always possible with normal or coded targets, but it would be with vector-coded targets as they are used in other photogrammetry packages.
For an illustration of what I mean, I have generated some by hand, see attachment (tip of the vector-coded target is in the half distance of the two targets).

Best regards

Kiesel

To illustrate what can be achieved here the results of a first test on a reflective (car) bonnet to show the advantage for reflective surfaces and especially their contours, which can be modeled by vector targets. Another advantage could be to have additional scale bars in your project. The attachments show the identified coded targets and the constructed vector points and the resulting CAD-drawing.
