Siggraph Whitepapers
« on: July 31, 2013, 01:38:21 AM »
Hi all have found a very interesting article presented on SIGGRAPH 2013 for solving noise on mesh

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15047343/Noise%20remove.pdf

Hard to say how long it take to be commercialized but quite god results :-)

And for the lens smoothness something too :-)

One more interesting http://www.cs.utah.edu/~bergerm/recon_bench/ and the http://vgc.poly.edu/files/berger/recon_bench/paper/tog.pdf

I think when 1.0.0 is out and its uses PClouds then this could explain few things. Can someone explain to us all benefits, drawbacks of particular reconstruction method mentioned here ?
Poison = good for highly detailed objects, bad for GIS because lot of triangles......
and later eventually implemented by agisoft team ?!?!
